This custom closet was created to maximise the client's storage and hanging needs with shelves, drawers and room for large items on top of what seems like a skylight from below. All built with Baltic Birch plywood.
Oh, and another thing! - 2018-2021
This home has had our input many times. From creating composite wood frames outside the windows, to installing a new floor in the basement, to adding oad stair treads leading down to it, not to mention repairing the outside walkway which had lost it's mortar and falling apart.
Furniture well received - 2019
This reception desk and filing cabinet were custom designed for a Yoga Center that had limited space and wanted to have a natural wood feel rather than anything made of melamine or glass. Made entirely of Baltic Birch plywood, they have since been dismantled and moved and re-installed in their new location, giving them new life for many more years to come.
Hanging out - 2019
These rope walls were created for a Yoga Center in Montreal, more specifically an Iyengar Yoga Center which utilises ropes in order to suspend themselves in all sorts of positions from upside up to upside down, so it was important that they be well anchored. All you see is the tip of the looped hook, but a lot happens behind the wall to make that happen!
Storage, benches and shelves, oh my! - 2019
These storage units, armoires, change rooms, benches, shelves and even the statuette wall-shelves were all custom designed for a Yoga Center in Montreal and after a few years of service were dismantled and re-assembled in different arrangements to fit the new studio after they moved, thus keeping the same feel throughout. They are all built with Baltic Birch plywood.
Going up? - 2018
Space was limited so a steeper slope had to be created which inspired this ladder/staircase creation made mostly of Baltic Birch plywood.
When you gotta go, you gotta go! - 2016
These tiny his and hers bathrooms needed a lot of love from their dark and drab old selves. They were hence updated utilizing space saving furniture and smoother finishes, adding brightness along the way.
Full remodel - 2016
This 2-bedroom flat was fully remodeled. Walls were taken down, others were built up and all the plumbing and electrical was re-done. The "tilt-and-turn" windows were all removed, fixed and re-installed since they had been neglected and the mechanisms had been damaged. The kitchen and bathroom were fully gutted and re-imagined. Floors were sanded and refinished...the inlay in the pictures depicts where a wall used to be, so we needed to get creative in replacing the missing flooring. More pictures to come.
Loft Island - 2019
This island for a commercial loft was created very minimalist for a reason. Budget and practicality. Ok, 2 reasons! Made of melamine and Baltic Birch plywood for the countertop.
